In accordance with Governor Beshear’s executive order, Hotel Covington and Coppin’s Restaurant now require masks for all guests over the age of 5 that enter the building. Once you reach your table or guest room, you are free to remove your mask and enjoy the experience.
In addition to our added cleaning measures and adjusted operation; Coppin’s operation will be as well. This includes staff wearing masks, washing their hands at a high frequency, sanitizing their hands at a high frequency and utilizing single serve condiments. We will also be eliminating our self-serve coffee station to offer a served coffee station and all menus will be disposable. Additionally; Coppin’s will be operating on a reduced schedule and menus, while we hone our processes in this new normal. A limited Breakfast will be available daily at our Coffee Bar or via in-room dining.
Beginning on November 20th at 5PM, Coppin’s Restaurant & Bar will not be able to provide indoor dining service until December 13th, 2020. We will provide outdoor dining service in our Courtyard Patio & Lawn dependent on weather and availability. We have plenty of heaters, Donna Salyers Fabulous Fur throws, and a large fire place!
In addition to outdoor dining, we will have in-room dining for hotel guests, as well as a carryout and curbside pickup option.

We will be going above and beyond our standard cleaning protocols. All high touch areas, such as door handles, restrooms, table surfaces, our retail area, elevator buttons etc. will be cleaned with increased frequency with CDC approved cleaning products provided by our local distilleries and, local company; Proctor & Gamble.
Hand sanitizing stations are being installed at our entrances, our front desk, our elevator banks, meeting spaces and on guest room floors.
Signage in public spaces will remind our guests to maintain social distancing. Guests will also have the opportunity to check-in prior to arriving to shorten their time at the front desk.
In guest rooms, we have elevated our best in class cleaning protocols and inspection criteria. We will be thoroughly cleaning all surfaces with hospital-grade disinfectants. We have removed several touch points in the rooms, such as our Magic 8 Ball (invented in Covington), our Covington History books and other items. These items will still be available upon request. We are also working to make limited personal protective equipment available to our guests while they stay with us.
We will begin requiring all staff to have their temperature checked prior to beginning their shift. Any associate with a temperature 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher will not be allowed to work their scheduled shift. You will also notice more staff wearing gloves and all staff will be required to wear a mask while working.
While we are coming out of uncharted waters, we are going to do our best to ensure you, our guest, still have the full Hotel Covington Tailored Experience. During the first few weeks, please be patient as we begin to navigate a reopening with a reduced staff, reduced hours and a few reduced touches in our guestrooms. All of these measures are meant for your safety and comfort. They say that Hygiene/Cleanliness is the new form of luxury. Well, if that’s the case; we want to be the most luxurious Hotel in the world. Please, if you have any questions about any of our procedures, please do not hesitate to contact our General Manager, Justin Ham at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling (859)905-6600.
